Back in December 2019, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi K30 smartphone in China. The Redmi K30 smartphone was later launched in India with a rebranded name, much to our surprise, it turned out to be the Poco X2. Now, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is gearing up for the launch of the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone. Earlier today, we reported to you that the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone will launch in China on March 24, 2020. Now, the company has started teasing the specifications and features of the device. Take a look at whatever we know about the upcoming Redmi K30 Pro smartphone so far.
Redmi K30 Pro: Everything We Know So Far
As mentioned earlier, the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone will launch in China on March 24, 2020. The company has started posting about the Redmi K30 Pro on its official Weibo platform handles. First up, the Redmi K30 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G chipset, which will be paired with an LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The brand has even run an AnTuTu test on the machine where it has managed to score a whopping total of 610,296.
The official promotional poster for the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone has already been made live. Courtesy of the poster, we now know that the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone will feature a quadruple rear camera setup, which will include a 64MP primary lens. The camera module will be circular in shape and an LED flash will find its way sitting underneath it. Just like the recently launched Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphones, the Redmi K30 Pro will also have a horizontally-engraved Redmi logo at the back. Not only that, the promotional photo also confirms that the Redmi K30 Pro will feature a pop-up selfie camera, the resolution of which is anyone’s guess as of now. We cannot help but notice the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top of the device. Moreover, the device appears to have retained an IR blaster, which is good news for many.
In another poster, company officials have confirmed that the Redmi K30 Pro will flaunt a vapour cooling mechanism to ensure optimum cooling during extreme usage, which would potentially eliminate throttling issues. As far as the charging speeds are concerned, the Redmi K30 Pro was spotted earlier on the Chinese 3C certification website, which revealed that it would come with up to 33W of fast charging speed.
As of now, we have no word surrounding the global launch of the Redmi K30 Pro smartphone. The vanilla Redmi K30 was not launched in India (well, technically), so we cannot say for sure whether its Pro sibling will follow suit or not. For all we know, the brand might rebrand this one as the much-anticipated Poco F2. Only time has the answer to this as of now.
