Redmi K60 Series: What’s New in the Camera Department
The Redmi K60 series could include some great camera hardware. According to the latest leak, one of the phones will feature a 50MP main camera. Tipster Digital Chat Station (via) did not specifically mention any details about which phone will feature which sensor. It is likely that the K60 Pro could feature a 64MP sensor. The K60 Gaming 5G, on the other hand, could get a 50MP main camera sensor. Both models will support optical image stabilisation (OIS).
What about the K60 5G? Tipster Digital Chat Station had previously stated that the vanilla model will get a 48MP main camera sensor. The vanilla model will also support OIS. The same tipster had leaked that the vanilla model will feature the unreleased Dimensity 8200 SoC under the hood. The upcoming MediaTek SoC is said to feature a Cortex-X2 Prime Core having a peak clock speed of 3.1GHz.
The K60 Pro and K60 Gaming could feature more superior SoC. It is speculated that the Pro model could get the upcoming Dimensity 9200 SoC, whereas the Gaming Edition could feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The K60 is also said to pack a 5500mAh battery under the hood with support for 67W wired fast charging. The device could support 30W wireless charging. The devices could sport a QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate support.
The K60 Gaming Edition is also tipped to support a 144Hz refresh rate with a 2K resolution for the display. Xiaomi could also offer 120W fast charging support for the Pro and Gaming Edition models.
In terms of software, the K60 series could run Android 13 out of the box. The devices are also likely to get MIUI 14 on top of Android. That being said, Xiaomi could release the Redmi K-series devices with MIUI 13 based on Android 13, followed by the MIUI 14 update. The K60 series could debut next year in India. Xiaomi brought back its K-series to India earlier this year in the form of the K50i. Therefore, the K60 series could mark its presence in India as well.
