Redmi Note 12 series is set to get a refresh in India. The company has confirmed to launch a new Note 12 series phone in India on March 30. The Note 12 4G will be the latest addition to the lineup, which currently comprises three devices. Xiaomi launched the Note 12 series earlier this year in India. The lineup currently includes the Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G and Note 12 Pro Plus 5G. The upcoming Note 12 will be the first 4G phone in the lineup. Xiaomi has confirmed some key details about the phone. Now, the company has teased a new colour option for the Note 12 4G.
The new colour variant is a combination of multiple shades blending into each other at different layers. Let’s take a look at the Redmi Note 12 specifications, features and other details known so far.
Redmi Note 12 New Colour
The Redmi Note 12 4G is set to debut in India on March 30. Ahead of the official launch, the company has teased a new colour option for the phone. The upcoming Note 12 series phone will have a multi-colour option, which has shades of blue, pink and gold. The camera module design is in the same gold colour that the company teased previously. The frame’s colour too matches that of the phone. It could be possible that the model teased today has some colour-changing properties when sunlight hits on it. We have seen something similar in Vivo’s V27 series.
Xiaomi has not confirmed any details about this. But in case the speculation is invalid, we will see a multi-colour option along with the gold colour variant of the phone.
The company has already confirmed that the phone has a triple-camera setup on the back. The frame too is flat and has the SIM tray on the left. The right edge has the power and volume buttons.
The official microsite teases the key specifications of the upcoming Note as well. The Note 12 4G is confirmed to sport a flat display with thin bezels around it. The screen will refresh at 120Hz. Like the Note 12 5G series, the Note 12 4G will also feature a Super AMOLED display. It would not be a surprise if the phone has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display like its more premium siblings.
Under the hood, the phone is confirmed to launch with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 SoC. The phone was spotted on Geekbench, which revealed that its SoC has a peak clock speed of 2.8GHz. It is expected to launch with 4GB of RAM as well. The phone will boot Android 13 out of the box and have MIUI 14 on top.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the device will feature a 50MP main camera sensor. The phone is expected to feature an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with AI face unlock. The phone is also confirmed to pack a 5000mAh battery and support 33W fast charging out of the box.
