Soon after the launch, there were reports about the upcoming devices in the Redmi Note 12 series. The news on the web suggested that Redmi Note 12 Turbo would be launching soon in China. It was tipped by popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. Now, a new smartphone from Xiaomi has obtained certified 3C certification. Redmi Note 12 Turbo 3C Certification
The 3C listing identifies the smartphone as a Xiaomi device with model number 23049RAD8C. The device supports 5G and has the certification number 2023011606522630. The listing reveals the support for 67W fast wired charging.
For those unaware, many Redmi, Xiaomi, and Poco smartphones ship with 67W chargers. The Redmi Note 12 Pro came with a 67W charger in the box. As we said above, the listing is likely related to the upcoming Note 12 Turbo.
Summing Up the Leaked Specifications of the Upcoming Smartphone
The device would feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The tipster had previously revealed that it would sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset. The chipset would pair with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
It will likely run on MIUI 14 on top of Android 13 out of the box. On the optics side, it would feature a triple-rear camera setup similar to Redmi Note 12 Pro smartphone. The device would sport a primary 50MP sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP tertiary macro lens. The front camera would be placed inside the punch-hole in the display.
One significant difference from other Redmi Note 12 series smartphones would be the addition of an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi still uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on its Redmi Note 12 series. The device would be backed by a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging tech.
Xiaomi might launch the smartphone in global markets as opposed to other Redmi Note “T” series devices. But a popular tipster named Kacper Skrzypek said the device might launch globally under another name. There are also chances for Poco to launch the smartphone in India under another branding.
