Redmi Note 12S Launch: What You Need to Know

The Redmi Note 12S will launch as a successor to the Note 11S in various markets. The phone is now tipped to launch in Q2 2023. According to tipster Mukul Sharma, aka Stufflistings, the Note 12S launch event could take place in various markets within the next couple of months. The exact date or month of the launch remains unknown at the time of writing this. Sharma further revealed that the Note 12S production has kicked off in several European and Eurasian regions. This further hints at the launch of the Note 12S series.

The tipster did not reveal any other details about the phone. However, thanks to a few leaks and some recent online certifications, the phone’s details have surfaced online ahead of its debut. The Note 12S was listed on the EEC certification website with the model number 2303CRA44A. It was also spotted on the FCC certification website, which revealed that the budget smartphone in the Note 12 series will support 67W fast charging out of the box.

The FCC listing further suggested that the Note 12S will be similar to the Note 11S but will come with changes in the camera and charging department. The listing does not specifically highlight what changes will the Note 12S get.

The images attached also reveal the design of the phone, confirming that the phone has a hole-punch display with a cutout at the top centre. It also has a 3.5mm audio jack, an IR blaster, and the primary speaker grille.

If the phone is anything similar to the Note 11S, then the Note 12S is likely to sport a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and offer support for a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will feature a MediaTek Helio G96 processor and pack a 5000mAh battery. The Note 11S came with a 108MP quad-camera setup but considering the phone is said to get changes in the camera department, the sensor details of the Note 12S are unknown.
