Samsung has announced two new Galaxy A-series smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s are the company’s latest budget offerings. Samsung Galaxy A12 comes as a successor to the Galaxy A11, which was launched earlier this year. Samsung Galaxy A02s is a followup to the Galaxy A01 launched in December 2019. Both smartphones come with update specifications and features. Each of the two smartphones comes with a 6.5-inch screen and a 5,000 mAh battery. Although Samsung has announced the two smartphones, they would not be going on sale before 2021. Samsung Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A12s are budget smartphone offerings from the South Korean tech giant. They feature entry-level specifications and have been priced under EUR 200.

Samsung Galaxy A12 price

Samsung Galaxy A12 comes in three storage configurations with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. The 64GB storage variant starts at EUR 179, which roughly translates to Rs 15,700, whereas the 128GB option will be available for EUR 199, which is approximately Rs 17,500.


The smartphone has been unveiled in four colour options — Black, Blue, White, and Red.

Samsung Galaxy A02s price

Galaxy A02s comes in a single 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration priced at EUR 150, which roughly translates to Rs 13,200.

The device comes in Black, and White colour options.

Samsung Galaxy A12 specifications

Galaxy A12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT display with a 720 x 1500 resolution. The Infinity-V display has a tiny waterdrop notch for the 8MP front camera.

Under the hood, there is an unnamed octa-core processor clocking at 2.3GHz. Rumour reports suggest that the smartphone draws its power from a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. The performance unit includes 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB internal memory. Storage can be further expanded using a microSD card up to 1TB.

For optics, there is a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary lens, a 5MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. An 8MP front camera is present for selfies.

The smartphone packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.

Connectivity options include Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. The device also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Galaxy A02s features a 6.5-inch HD+ TFT display with a water-drop notch for the 5MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture. 

Under the hood, the device draws its power from an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The processor is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. You can expand the storage by up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The device also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

For optics, the smartphone comes with a triple-camera setup at the back. There is a 13MP main camera, coupled with a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The notch on the top of the display houses a 5MP front camera sensor.
