It has been almost three years since Samsung unveiled its budget fitness tracker – the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2. The company now appears to be prepping up to introduce the Galaxy Fit 2 successor – the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3, as the design renders of the upcoming tracker have surfaced on the web, courtesy WindowsReport.
The leaked renders reveal that Samsung is going to refresh the design of its upcoming fitness tracker. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fit 3, based on the leaked renders, appears to be bigger than the Fit 2. Let us take a closer look at the details.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 renders reveal an upgraded design compared to its predecessor. The display capsule now looks wider and appears to have a metallic design. Based on the leaked renders, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 watchband no longer holds the capsule inside it and instead, Samsung seems to be going with non-removable straps on its upcoming fitness tracker.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 leaked renders also reveal a button that is housed along the right edge. The report doesn’t reveal the functionality of the button but we can expect it to be a shortcut button or a dedicated back button. The report also suggests that Samsung could use Android OS on the Fit 3 instead of the rtOS-based OS that we have seen on the previous generation Fit 2.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 renders reveal a rose gold hue with a light pink strap. We can expect Samsung to launch it in other colours as well. The Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 seems to have an optical heart rate monitoring sensor at the back. The Pogo charging pins can also be spotted on the rear side. Apart from it, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 renders do not reveal any further details.
