Samsung is launching the new Galaxy J-series phones, the J6 Plus and J4 Plus in India on September 25. Check out the details.

Samsung Galaxy J6 Camera Review

Samsung is gearing up to launch two new phones in its Galaxy J-series in India. We have received exclusive information regarding the upcoming phones, the Galaxy J6 Plus and the Galaxy J4 Plus. Although we have not got the essential information like the pricing and complete specifications, we have got to know some of the specs and launch date.

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus, J6 Plus: Launch Date in India

Samsung is launching both the smartphones on September 25, 2018, in India. On the date, we will get to know the pricing of the devices. We hope that this time around Samsung prices them according to the market as other brands have been pricing their feature-packed phones under affordable segments to woo the consumers. Samsung, on the other hand, has not been following the pricing trend, which is why it has been losing in mid-range and budget market in India.

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus, J6 Plus: Specifications, Features

We have got to know that both the phones will come with Infinity Immersive Display, which is what Samsung has been following in most of its recent devices. The Infinity Display offers a premium look even to the mid-range smartphones from the company. Another detail revealed by our source is that both the phones will pack Side Fingerprint Sensor i.e. the fingerprint scanner could be embedded into the power button, most likely.

Moreover, our source reveals that the J6 Plus may come with 13MP+5MP dual camera setup at the rear and an 8MP front camera. On the contrary, the J4 Plus may settle for a single 13MP camera at the rear and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front. Another feature tipped is ‘Emotify’ which we think is Samsung’s version of Apple’s Animoji. Well, this move was expected from Samsung as even the brands like Oppo have developed their version of Animoji even for mid-range phones.

Our sources also revealed that the Galaxy J6 Plus will pack 4GB of RAM while the Galaxy J4 Plus will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. As is the case with every leak, we don’t have confirmation on some of the specifications, but we can vouch for specs like Infinity Display, Emotify, and Side Fingerprint Sensor.

Samsung Galaxy J4 Plus, J6 Plus: Vibrant Colour Variants

We have also got to know that this time around Samsung will be launching both the J-series phones in vibrant colour options. As tipped, the company calls it “Infinitely Vibrant Bold Colours.” Well, this means that we may get to see the phones launching in colour options such as Red. Samsung finally seems to be following other companies in bringing out bold variants of their mid-range phones to woo the young consumers who look for vibrant colors instead of the standard colours like Black, White, or Gray.

Samsung’s J-series has not been overly successful in India, thanks to the fierce competition that the company has been facing from the brands like Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, and OnePlus. The game got even bitter when Xiaomi launched the flagship-level Snapdragon 845 powered Poco F1 in India at Rs. 21,000. With such level of competition unfolding in India, it would be interesting to see how Samsung positions its upcoming J-series phones. We will get to know all the details on September 25. Stay tuned with us to get all the updates.
