Samsung launched a new smartphone in the M series in Europe recently. The M series smartphones are those targeted toward budget Android users. The new smartphone is dubbed as Samsung Galaxy M14 5G in Ukraine. The device equips an Exynos chipset and a large battery. Samsung is expanding the availability of smartphones.
India is one of the top markets for Samsung, and they wouldn’t skip launching a smartphone in India. A new smartphone support page has gone live on Samsung India’s website. The model number of the smartphone match with that of the recently launched Galaxy M14 5G.
Samsung Galaxy M14 Launching Soon in India
Previously, a Samsung smartphone with model number SM-146B/DS had been listed in India’s BIS. The same smartphone has been listed on Samsung India’s website. It indicates that the launch of the Galaxy M14 5G is nearing. The smartphone is also expected to be available in other parts of Europe soon.
The company equips the smartphone with a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display has an Infinity-V notch housing the front camera, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 2408 × 1080 pixels. Underneath, it sports the Exynos 1330 chipset built on the 5nm process.
The chipset is an octa-core chipset consisting of two 2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 and Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. Samsung has launched the smartphone with two storage options with 4GB standard RAM. It is available in 64GB and 128GB of storage. The brand also equips the smartphone with a dedicated micro-SD card slot. It runs on OneUI 5.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.
In the optics department, it features a triple-rear camera setup. The setup comprises a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. The sensor is accompanied by two 2MP sensors, macro, and depth, respectively, with f/2.4 aperture. The notch in the display houses the 13MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Both cameras can record videos up to 1080p @ 30fps resolution.
The highlight of the smartphone is the large 6000 mAh battery. Samsung has equipped the smartphone with 25W fast charging tech instead of 15W on-budget smartphones. However, Samsung doesn’t bundle the charger with the smartphone. The device is available in Silver, Blue, and Dark Blue colour options.
Samsung has promised two significant and four years of security updates with the device. The device has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the power button. The pricing of Galaxy M14 5G starts at UAH 8,299 (approx. Rs 18,300) for the base variant with 64GB storage. The higher variant with 128GB storage costs UAH 8,999 (approx. Rs 19900).
