Samsung recently launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 alongside a bunch of other smart products at Unpacked event. The company will now focus on launching some Galaxy A-series, M-series and F-series phones for the rest of the year. Samsung’s next flagship smartphone launch will be hosted next year. The company is likely to launch the Galaxy S24 series in Q1 2024. Samsung is likely to launch three phones in the lineup, namely the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

We are months away from the typical launch timeline of Samsung’s Galaxy S-series flagship phones. Meanwhile, the US variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24+ has been spotted online. The middle child of the upcoming Galaxy S24 series has been spotted on the Geekbench website, which reveals its key performance unit details. Based on the leaked details, it is likely that the Galaxy S24 series US variants will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC under the hood. Samsung Galaxy S24+ US Variant: Geekbench Listing Confirms Key Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S24+ will be a successor to the Galaxy S23+ launched earlier this year. Some key details about the phone have leaked online. A Geekbench listing suggests that the Galaxy S24+ has the model number SM-S926U. According to the listing, the phone draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC codenamed pineapple. The SoC has an Adreno 750 GPU under the hood, which will be an upgrade over the existing Adreno 740 GPU found in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is safe to say that the Galaxy S24+ will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

The cluster setup is quite different compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.30GHz for the prime core. It also has three cores clocked at 3.15GHz and two more cores clocked at 2.96GHz. The lower-clocked cores have a clock speed of 2.27GHz.

In addition to the SoC details, the listing also reveals the RAM and software details of the upcoming Galaxy S24+. The variant of the phone listed on Geekbench has 8GB of RAM. We can expect Samsung to launch the phone with 12GB of RAM and at least 256GB of internal storage.

The device was spotted on Geekbench with the latest Android 14 update. We can expect Samsung to add a layer of the upcoming One UI 6 on top of Android. The Galaxy S24+ scored 2223 and 6661 in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests.

A recent report claimed that the Galaxy S24 series will bring back Samsung’s Exynos SoCs. Samsung might launch the phones with an Exynos 2400 SoC in select regions. There is no word on whether the Indian variant of the Galaxy S24 series will get a Snapdragon SoC variant or one powered by Exynos.
