Samsung is yet to confirm the launch details of the foldable phone. Meanwhile, a new leak revealed the key specs of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Samsung is said to use a new waterdrop hinge for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 later this year. The new leak corroborates a recent report, which also claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 will launch earlier than expected. The report claimed that Samsung will use the new waterdrop hinge design to reduce the gap when the display when folded.

The new hinge is set to go under mass production in early June. Samsung is likely to launch the foldable phones by the end of July. The device is also said to get new camera sensors and many more upgrades.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is also expected to sport a 7.6-inch foldable AMOLED display. The outer display will be 6.2 inches tall. Both AMOLED displays will support a 120Hz refresh rate. The same was confirmed via a Geekbench listing of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which also revealed that the foldable phone will offer 12GB of RAM. We can expect it to launch with 256GB and 512GB storage options. The device will run Android 13 software out of the box. It should be running the latest One UI 5 update on top.

The device will continue to feature a triple-camera setup on the back. There will be a 50MP main camera sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera lens. The primary camera will offer optical image stabilisation (OIS) support.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is said to pack a 4400mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 25W wireless charging support. Lastly, it is tipped to launch in Beige, Black and Light Blue colour options.
