Tecno recently launched the Phantom X2 series in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company launched two premium smartphones, namely the Phantom X2 and Phantom X2 Pro. The two devices are Tecno’s most premium offering to date and sit at the top of the company’s portfolio. Tecno has now confirmed that it will launch the Phantom X2 5G in India. The company confirmed the launch via Amazon, which reveals more details about the India launch.
According to the Amazon microsite, the Tecno Phantom X2 5G will launch in two colour options. The device will also come to India with the same set of specifications found in the International model. Tecno Phantom X2 5G India Launch: What You Need to Know
The Tecno Phantom X2 5G is confirmed to launch in India very soon. The company’s flagship smartphone will go on sale starting January 9. The sale date was revealed via the official Amazon microsite teaser, which also revealed that customers can pre-book the device from January 2. As a bonus, those who pre-book the phone will also be eligible to get a Tecno Phantom X3 as a free upgrade once it launches next year.
The exact launch date is unknown but we can expect the India pricing and other details to be announced between January 2 and January 9. Regarding the expected price, the phone was launched in the UAE for SAR 2699 (roughly Rs 59,100). That is quite steep for a Tecno phone in India but looking at the hardware on offer, we can expect the device to have a premium price tag. It would not be a surprise if Tecno launches the phone for around Rs 50,000 in India, considering it would want to make some space for itself in the premium smartphone market.
The device will be available for purchase in Stardust Grey and Moonlight Silver. Tecno has revealed that the phone will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. It will also come with a 64MP main camera sensor, a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The main camera comes with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). There is a 32MP front camera sensor.
There is a 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The screen has a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. It also has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top.
The device also packs a beefy 5160mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging out of the box. Lastly, the phone runs Android 12-based HiOS 12.0 out of the box.
Tecno has not revealed any details about the launch of the X2 Pro at the moment. We can expect some more details about the same in the coming days.
