Millions of children worldwide have fallen in love with Archies, and fans of the comic book series admire all of its characters. The comic is now available on celluloid in India. Netflix’s live-action musical film The Archies will soon be accessible to stream. The makers of the show have now announced the release date of the show with a trailer. The series, which Zoya Akhter directed for Netflix, is an Indian adaptation of the comics. This relationship between the streaming service and Archie Comics will take us back to the 1960s. Archie Comics has many well-known characters, including Archie, Betty, Kevin, Reggie, the Pussycats, The Black Hood, The Shield, Sam Hill, Li’l Jinx, and many more.
The Archies, billed as a coming-of-age musical, will also introduce megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya, singer Sridevi, and film producer Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi to the cine world.

Netflix has announced that it will be premiering the Zoya Akhter directorial movie on its platform on December 7. So, in the meantime, viewers need to have their subscription to the streaming giant upgraded.

The Anglo-Indian community provides a unique perspective on the group of youngsters navigating love, heartbreak, friendship, and rebellion in the Indian rendition of the well-loved classic. The film Archies takes place in the fictional hill town of Riverdale in 1960s India. The more than two-minute clip opens with the introduction of the main characters, Betty (Khushi), Archie (Agastya), and Veronica (Suhana), along with the gang as they navigate adolescence with flair, fun, and music. Like all stories, though, there’s a twist at the end, and the friends will need to come together even more to preserve their town, community, and, in the process, themselves.
Cast and Crew of the Archies
As is visible with the cast line, the movie has been christened as a “Nepo babies” film and has created quite a stir among viewers. Famous children making their big screen debuts in the movie are Agasthya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, and Khusie Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister. The movie also stars Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dot, and Yuvraj Menda. Zoya and director Reema Kagti support the Archies through Tiger Baby, Graphic India, their production houses, and Archie Comics. Zoya, who co-wrote the movie with Reema and Ayesha Devitre, is the director.
