Vi the new branding of Vodafone Idea has released a new benefit called the ‘Weekend Data Rollover’ which will allow the customer to carry forward the unused data of their unlimited pack on the weekend. The telco is offering this benefit under a promotional offer from October 19th to January 17th, 2020. The ‘Weekend Data Rollover’ benefit will be only available on VIL prepaid unlimited calling and daily data packs of Rs 249 and above.

According to the company, the weekend data rollover benefit will allow Vi customers to use the unused daily data from weekdays to weekends. For example, if you have a daily limit of 2GB data and you are consuming only 1GB every day then the leftover data from Monday to Friday will be carry forward to Saturday and Sunday and you can use that data as per your requirement, but only on weekend.

The telco is not charging any extra fee for this benefit and it will be applied on all the unlimited recharge plans above Rs 249. Also do note that the benefit is only available for all the Vi prepaid subscribers who are opting for unlimited prepaid packs with a daily data cap. Also, there is no data cap on the unused rollover quota, so you can consume all the accumulated data during the weekend.

In case you are unable to use the accumulated data over the weekend then it will be lost after 24 hours of Sunday. The accumulated data will be reflected in the Active Packs and Service section of the Vi app. You can also check for the remaining data via *199# USSD code.

Also, do remember that if your unlimited prepaid pack is going to be over before weekend and there is a gap between the previous pack expiry and new pack then your roll-over benefit will be forfeited.
