Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its next S-series smartphone. The company is expected to launch the S12 series later this month or early next year in China. One can expect the series to include two devices, the S12 and S12 Pro. Design renders of the Pro model had leaked previously. It revealed that the phone will sport a wide notch for the dual front camera setup. As we get closer to the launch, more specifications of the device have leaked online. Vivo S12 Pro is expected to launch in the coming weeks. Ahead of the official launch event, tipster Digital Chat Station has leaked the device’s specs. The device will come with an improved display, camera, and performance unit specs, according to the tipster (via GizmoChina). 

Starting with the screen, the phone is said to sport a curved OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a notch cutout. The notch will house two front camera sensors. It is being reported that the device will feature a 50MP front camera, which will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide sensor.

The leaked details of the S12 Pro by DCS also reveal that the device will have a 108MP primary camera sensor. The triple-camera setup on the back will also include an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP tertiary sensor. 

Under the hood, the phone will draw power from a Dimensity 1200 SoC. It is likely to support 44W fast charging. The battery capacity remains unknown at the moment. Lastly, the phone is expected to run Vivo’s upcoming OriginOS Ocean UI on top of Android.

In terms of pricing, the phone is expected to launch in China for CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs 35,300). With that price, the device will compete against the newly launched Honor 60 series launched in the country.
