Vivo earlier today launched the Vivo V20 SE in the Indian market. The Vivo V20 SE is priced at Rs. 20,990 in India, which puts it in direct competition with the Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51. Vivo V20 SE is priced at Rs. 20,990 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant in India. The Realme 7 Pro comes in two memory configurations, 6GB and 8GB. The 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 19,999, while the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 21,999. Samsung Galaxy M51 is priced at Rs 24,999 for 6GB RAM and 128GB variant, and the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs Rs. 26999.

Vivo V20 SE, at Rs. 20,990, is the cheapest of the trio if we compare the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variants of all three devices.

Vivo V20 SE packs a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display unit on the smartphone features a water-drop notch resulting in an over 90% screen-to-body ratio. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Ralme 7 Pro features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080 resulting in a pixel density of 409ppi. It has a punch-hole notch on the top left corner owing to a screen to body ratio of 90.8%. The display on the Realme 7 Pro is protected with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Samsung Galaxy M51 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 and 20:9 aspect. The display on the Galaxy M51 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and has a single punch-hole notch in the center, which the company the Infinity-O display. Realme 7 Pro and Vivo V20 SE offer optical in-display fingerprint sensors while the Samsung Galaxy M51 has it on the right side.

Vivo V20 SE packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, built on an 11nm process. Under-the-hood, Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51 sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G and Snapdragon 730G respectively. Both these processors are built on the 8nm process. The graphics duties on the Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51 are handled by Adreno 618 GPU compared to Adreno 610 on the Vivo V20 SE.

All three devices feature UFS storage along with a dedicated Micro-SD card slot. Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51 should offer better performance, at least going by on-paper specifications. However, Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G and 730G should offer similar day-to-day performance.

Vivo V20 SE features a 48MP triple-rear camera setup, while the Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51 have a 64MP quad-rear camera setup. The primary sensor on the Vivo V20 SE is a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensor, while the Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51 have 64MP Sony IMX682 sensors.

Vivo V20 SE and Realme 7 Pro have 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensors with 120° and 119° field of views respectively. While the Samsung Galaxy M51 has a superior 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 123° field of view. Vivo V20SE and Realme 7 Pro have 2MP macro sensors with 2.5cm and 4cm focal lengths respectively. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy M51 offers a 5MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Realme 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy M51 have additional 2MP B&W portrait lens and 5MP macro sensors respectively.

Vivo V20 SE packs a 4,100mAh battery unit with 33W (11V/3A) fast charging support. The Realme 7 Pro has a 4,500mAh battery with 65W SuperDart fast charging support. While the Samsung Galaxy M51 packs a mammoth 7,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. Also, Samsung is bundling a Type-C to Type-C charging cable with the Galaxy M51, compared to the Type-A to  Type-C cable on the other two smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy M51’s USP is its huge 7,000mAh battery, while the Realme 7 Pro has superfast 65W fast charging which is the first in the segment.
