Vivo is gearing up for the launch of the V29 series. The company’s Turkey division has teased the design of the upcoming V29 series already, suggesting an imminent launch. Vivo is likely to launch two phones in the lineup. These will be called the V29 5G and V29 Pro 5G. The company is expected to announce the launch date of its new V29 series soon. While we wait for that, a new leak has revealed the specifications and features of the V29 5G.

The report by Appuals has revealed the full specs of the phone, claiming that Vivo’s upcoming vanilla model in the V-series lineup will feature a curved AMOLED display. The phone’s SoC details have also leaked online. Let’s take a look at the Vivo V29 5G specifications, features and other details ahead of the launch.

Vivo V29 5G: Specifications and Features (Leaked)

The Vivo V29 5G will be a successor to the V27 5G, which was launched a few months ago in India. The device might launch in India soon. Ahead of its global debut, an Appuals report revealed that the V29 5G will sport a tall 6.78-inch display. The report claimed that the V29 5G will sport a curved AMOLED display and offer a resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels. The screen will offer support for up to a billion colours and also a 120Hz refresh rate.

A recent Google Play Console listing of the V29 5G revealed the design render of the phone. The V29 5G has a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. It also has a volume rocker and a power button on the right side. On the back, there is a rectangular camera module for housing the triple-camera setup and an LED flash. The phone also has a ring light below the camera sensors, which will likely be called Aura light.

The Appuals report also added that the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, which was confirmed via the Google Play Console listing as well. It will launch with at least 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The V29 5G will feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50MP primary camera sensor. The primary camera sensor will offer optical image stabilisation (OIS) support. The report did not reveal the exact details of the sensor. The camera system will also feature an 8MP ultra-wide camera lens and a 2MP lens for macro photography or depth sensing. For selfies, there will be a 50MP front camera sensor.

Under the hood, the V29 5G will feature a 4600mAh battery. It is said to offer 80W fast charging support, which will be an upgrade over the outgoing model’s 66W charging support. In terms of software, the V29 5G will boot Android 13 out of the box and have a layer of Funtouch OS 13.1 on top. Appuals claims that the device will come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It will also have support for dual SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, etc.

Lastly, the price. The V29 5G will launch in the Czech Republic at a starting price of CZK 11,990 (roughly Rs 45,500). We can expect the India pricing to be much lower.
