Vivo today launched the V9 Pro Android smartphone in India as an Amazon-exclusive. The V9 Pro is a significant upgrade over the Vivo V9 in terms of performance but happens to be a downgrade in the camera department.
Vivo V9 Pro: Price in India
The Vivo V9 Pro will be available in India at Rs.17,990, which is surprisingly lower than the launch price of the standard Vivo V9. It will only be available in Black color in the country.

Vivo has not confirmed the availability details yet, so we do not know when the smartphone will be going on sale in India. Customers purchasing the Vivo V9 Pro can avail No Cost EMI option with Bajaj Finserv cards as well as all leading credit cards. Jio subscribers will be eligible to receive benefits of up to Rs.4,050 in addition to platinum device security. Vivo V9 Pro: Specifications, Features
The Vivo V9 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch FullView 2.0 IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2280 Full HD+ resolution, 90% screen-to-body ratio, and a 19:9 aspect ratio, identical to the Vivo V9. While the display is largely similar, the V9 Pro is powered by a significantly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor clocked at up to 2.2 GHz with an Adreno 512 GPU. In comparison, the V9 runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 626 chipset with an Adreno 506 GPU. Both in terms of CPU and graphics performance, the Snapdragon 660 is significantly faster than the Snapdragon 626. It even comes with a dedicated AI Engine to power all the AI-powered features that the V9 Pro offers.
Vivo has coupled the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor on the V9 Pro with 6GB of RAM to deliver fast and smooth multitasking experience. In terms of storage, the smartphone features 64GB of onboard storage, which can be easily expanded by up to 256GB thanks to a triple card slot. In the camera department, Vivo V9 Pro sports 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with AI Bokeh Mode and AI HDR features. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16MP AI selfie camera with AI Selfie Lightning and AI Face Beauty features. The front-facing camera supports Face Unlock as well, which means you can easily unlock the V9 Pro simply by holding it in front of your face. If you don’t wish to compromise with security, you can use the smartphone’s rear-mounted fingerprint sensor instead.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and 4G VoLTE. Vivo has not made any changes to the battery capacity, so the V9 Pro packs an identical 3260mAh capacity cell as the standard V9. Sadly, the smartphone does not come with fast charging support. The V9 Pro measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89mm and weighs in at 150 grams. In terms of software, the Vivo V9 Pro runs on the manufacturer’s Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. Like other V series smartphones from Vivo, the latest V9 Pro comes with a Game Mode as well.
