Vivo X Fold 2 Camera Details Revealed, Unboxing Video Reveals Design Ahead of Launch

Vivo is gearing up for the launch of the Vivo X Fold successor, the Vivo X Fold 2. The handset is set to launch in China in April, as per the details shared by Huang Tao, Vivo’s Vice President. The design of the device was recently teased by Vivo ahead of launch. As per the recent teaser, it is confirmed that the Vivo X Fold 2 will be available in Red colour option. The phone will have a punch-hole cutout at the top of the display, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage.

Now, ahead of the official launch, some specifications of the handset such as camera details are revealed by Digital Chat Station on Weibo. Apart from these details, the unboxing video of the device is also revealed, which discloses the design of the phone.


Vivo X Fold 2 Camera Details Revealed

As per the information shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 main camera with OIS support. Accompanying the 50MP main camera there will be an IMX663 ultra-wide-angle lens and an IMX663 sensor. Furthermore, as per the recent unboxing video (Via: Gizmochina), we can see that the device will have a ZEISS branding, punch-hole cutout, and a curved edge display. The power and volume buttons will be located on the right side of the device. On the upper edge, the device will feature a microphone, a speaker, and a USB-C port, while at the bottom side there will be a SIM card slot.

The handset will have an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor both at the inside and outside screens. As far as the other specifications of the device are concerned, it is tipped to come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device could pack 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. As for the software, the handset is tipped to run Android 13 out of the box with Origin Ocean OS on top. The previous leak also suggests that the phone will feature an 8-inch E6 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. The display panel is tipped to offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to ship with a 4800mAh battery which could offer 120W fast charging support.

Alongside, the Vivo X Fold 2, Vivo is also expected to launch the Vivo X Flip and the Vivo Pad 2 tablet in China. As of now, the brand has not revealed the official launch date of these products. However, now that the company has started teasing the Vivo X Fold 2, we can expect its launch to take place in either one or two weeks.
