Vivo is rumoured to be working on a foldable smartphone. The company is expected to launch its new flagship foldable smartphone in China later this year. The device was previously rumoured to launch as Vivo NEX 5. However, a new report claims that the company’s first foldable smartphone will be called Vivo X Fold.

Details of the upcoming foldable phone from Vivo have surfaced online. The leak reveals some key specs of the X Fold, including the camera and display details. Let’s take a look at the Vivo X Fold specifications, features, launch timeline and other details.

Vivo X Fold Specifications 

Vivo X Fold is expected to launch soon in China. According to reports, the foldable could debut later this month in China. Tipster Digital Chat Station (via GizmoChina) has revealed the foldable phone’s specs and features. The tipster claims that the foldable phone’s outer display will have a curved screen. There will be a hole-punch cutout at the top. The cover screen will be 6.5-inch tall and come with a Full HD+ resolution. It is taller than the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which has a 6.2-inch cover display. The X Fold’s outer display will also have a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate support.

The device is said to have an inward folding display. It will have an 8-inch screen with a QHD+ resolution. The foldable screen will also come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. There will be a hole-punch cutout, which is said to be on the right half of the foldable screen.

Vivo is expected to pack some top-of-the-line hardware. It will draw power from a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, which is the latest flagship chipset for smartphones launching in 2022. There is no word on the RAM and storage options. The phone will have a 4600 mAh battery. It will come with support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The leaked specs also reveal that the phone will have a quad-camera setup. It will feature a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera. The device will also feature a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom along with an 8MP sensor that will support 5x zoom. Details about the two front camera sensors remain unknown.
