Vivo will be expanding its X-series lineup in China with the introduction of the Vivo X27 on March 19. The Vivo X27 will have a pop-up selfie camera, similar to the company’s recently launched V15 and V15 Pro smartphones. Vivo today released two X27 promotional videos on its Weibo page, highlighting some of its key features.

Vivo X27 Promo Videos Focus on 48MP Triple Camera

The Vivo X27 promotional videos shared on Weibo by the company feature Chinese model Liu Wen and popular singer Luhan. Both the videos highlight the AI triple camera on the back of the smartphone with a 48MP resolution primary sensor. While the Vivo V15 Pro comes with a 48MP + 8MP + 5MP setup at the rear, the X27 will have a slightly more impressive 48MP + 13MP + 5MP setup. In addition to the official promo videos, the company also shared a GIF showing the smartphone’s pop-up selfie camera module in action.

Apart from a slightly more impressive triple-camera setup on the back, the X27 will differ from the V15 Pro in a few other areas as well. The smartphone’s recent Geekbench and Master Lu benchmark listings have confirmed that it will be running on a 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core chipset with an Adreno 616 GPU. Vivo V15 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset built on a 11nm process technology. According to the Vivo 1829A and 1829T listings on the TENAA website, the X27 will have a 16MP selfie snapper instead of the 32MP sensor on the V15 Pro. In terms of memory, the upcoming X-series smartphone will be available in two variants in China: 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. Rest of its spec sheet, however, will be more or less identical to that of the V15 Pro. It will feature a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ resolution and an In-display fingerprint sensor. On the software front, the X27 will be running on Funtouch OS 9.0 based on Android Pie.
