Vivo has quietly launched a new budget smartphone. The company has expanded its Y series lineup in China with the launch of the Y11. It is a 4G smartphone. The Vivo Y11 sports a polycarbonate back and frame. Like most phones launching since 2022, the Y11 has a flat rear panel and frame. The phone comes with budget hardware under the hood.
The front of the phone too sports a waterdrop notch, giving it a slightly dated look. Vivo has not confirmed any details about the phone’s launch in markets outside China. While we wait for that, here’s a quick look at the specifications and features of the Vivo Y11 4G known so far.
Vivo Y11 Price and Specifications
The Vivo Y11 has been launched with two storage options. The base model of the phone offers 4GB of RAM, whereas the top-end storage option has 6GB of RAM. The phone offers extended RAM of up to 2GB. At the moment, Vivo has not announced the official price of the phone.
The company has revealed that the phone will be available in two colour options — obsidian black and ice blue. Both colours have a matte finish on the back and sides.
In terms of specifications and features, the Y11 has a polycarbonate build. It has a circular camera module inside a rectangular housing on the back. The phone features a single rear camera. There will be an 8MP main camera with an LED flash.
For selfies, the phone has a 5MP front camera housed inside the waterdrop notch at the top centre.
The Y11 has a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The screen has support for a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek octa-core processor. The company has not listed the name of the processor or any other details.
As mentioned above, the phone comes with up to 6GB of RAM. There is up to 64GB of storage on offer. For storage expansion, there is an option to increase the memory via a microSD card slot.
The Y11 4G packs a beefy 5000mAh battery under the hood. It comes with 10W charging via a micro-USB port. Vivo claims that the phone can offer up to 28 days of standby time on a single charge. The phone is also 8.49mm thick.
