Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone. The company has launched the Vivo Y22 in Indonesia. Vivo is expected to launch the device in the coming days in India as well. The company has not announced the official launch date. While we wait for that, here’s a quick look at the Vivo Y22’s specifications.

The Y22 is a budget smartphone offering. It comes with 4G network support. Vivo has opted for a MediaTek processor for its new budget smartphone. The phone also sports a polycarbonate back panel. The device features a flat frame with curved corners. Vivo has launched the phone with two storage options. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y22 price, specifications and other details.

Vivo Y22 Price and Specifications 

Vivo has launched the Y22 in Indonesia with two storage options. The phone’s base model with 4GB of RAM comes with 64GB of internal storage. It is priced at IDR 2,399,000 (roughly Rs 12,900). The device has also been launched with a 6GB RAM option, which offers 128GB of internal storage. The pricing details of this variant have been kept under wraps at the moment. The Y22 4G arrives in three colours – Starlit Blue, Metaverse Green and Summer Cyan.

In terms of specifications, the Y22 sports a 6.55-inch IPS LCD with a water-drop notch on top. The phone’s screen has an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate support. It also comes with fairly thin bezels around the display, except for the thick chin.

On the back, there is a rectangular camera module. The phone has a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera comes with an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

The device draws power from a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone offers storage expansion support via a microSD card. Vivo also is offering 2GB of Extended RAM support. The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, etc. Lastly, the phone runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box.
