The Vivo Y28 5G is an upcoming budget smartphone from the company. Vivo’s Y-Series is popular in offline markets for its camera capabilities. Ahead of its official launch, the detailed specifications of the Vivo Y28 have been revealed via a listing on the Reliance Digital website, along with its price.
The device was also earlier spotted in some leaked teasers, showcasing the colour offerings. The Vivo Y28 will be available in two shades: Deep Purple and Aqua Blue. It will the the successor to the Vivo Y27 5G which was launched in March 2023.
Vivo Y28 5G Leaked Pricing and Storage Variants
The Reliance Digital listing suggests that the Vivo Y28 5G will be priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant, and Rs 15,499 for the 6GB+128GB model. The final pricing will depend on the retailer as the Vivo Y28 is an offline-focused device.
Multi-chain stores such as Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, etc. may also offer additional bank discounts. The device is also expected to be available on Amazon or Flipkart after the official launch.
Vivo Y28 5G: Features and Renders
The Vivo Y28 5G will feature a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen, with an HD+ resolution of 1612×720. While the listing does not reveal the refresh rate, we can expect it to be 90Hz. The display will have a notch for the front-facing camera.
The Vivo Y28 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset. The device will run on FunTouch OS 13 based on Android 13. In addition to 128GB storage, the device will also feature a microSD card slot.
It is worth noting that the Vivo Y28 was also spotted on the Google Play Console with the same details. The portal has listed the device with the Dimensity 700 chipset, which shares a lot of similarities with the Dimensity 6020. It is safe to say that the Vivo Y28 launch will launch with the newer Dimensity 6020 chipset, which was released in 2023.
The cameras will be one of the highlights of the Vivo Y28. The dual rear camera setup on the device will include a 50MP primary camera, along with a 2MP secondary camera and an LED flash. The selfie camera will be an 8MP sensor.
The Vivo Y28 5G will run on a 5000mAh battery. The device is expected to offer 15W fast charging via USB-C. Connectivity options will include 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Vivo has not officially launched the Vivo Y28 5G in India yet. The official announcement from the company is expected within the next few weeks.
