Vivo has launched a new budget smartphone in China. The company has expanded its Y-series lineup with the launch of the Y50t. It is a 4G smartphone that packs a Qualcomm processor under the hood. The device comes in a single storage configuration and two colour options. The new Vivo smartphone sports a hole-punch display at the top left corner of the screen. It also has a triple-camera setup on the back. There is no word on whether the device will make its way to India. Let’s take a look at the Vivo Y50t price, specifications, and other details.

The Vivo Y50t launched in China comes in a single 8GB + 128GB storage option. It is priced at CNY 1,399, which is roughly Rs 16,300. The device is launched in two gradient shades of Blue and Black.

Specifications and features

Vivo Y50t features a hole-punch display. It has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2480 pixels. The screen refreshes 60 times every second. Overall, with thin bezels and a hole-punch cutout, the phone has a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The hole-punch camera cutout houses an 8MP front camera sensor. On the back, the device has a triple-camera module. It houses a 48MP primary camera, coupled with two 2MP sensors for depth and macro. The vertically aligned camera module also houses an LED flash.

Under the hood, the device draws power from a Snapdragon 720G SoC. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The device also gets 4GB virtual RAM support and 128GB of internal storage. For storage expansion, there is a microSD card slot.

Vivo has packed a 4500 mAh battery in the Y50t. It supports 18W fast charging via a micro USB port. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, AI Face Unlock, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, etc. It runs Android 10-based Origin OS 1.0 out of the box.
