A new Vivo Y-series smartphone is in the works. The Chinese smartphone giant could soon launch the Vivo Y55s. The company has not yet confirmed the official launch details of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. However, some key details of the device have leaked online.

Vivo Y55s will launch in China on December 4, according to a China Telecom listing. The listing also reveals that the device has a dual-camera setup on the back. It will house a 50MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor, which is likely for depth sensing. For selfies, the device will feature an 8MP front camera sensor. This front camera will be housed inside the device’s waterdrop notch on top of the display.
The screen has thin bezels, except for the comparatively thicker chin. It will come with a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution. The device is likely to support a 60Hz refresh rate. The listing further reveals that the phone will measure 163.87 x 75.33 x 9.17mm and weigh 199 grams.
Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It is likely to launch in a single storage configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo is also likely to offer virtual RAM support. The phone packs a beefy 6000 mAh battery under the hood with support for 18W fast charging.
It will run Android 11 out of the box with a layer of Origin OS on top. The phone comes with connectivity options like WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM, etc. It is expected to launch in China for CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs 22,200) and come in three colours – Ceramic Black, Mirror Lake Blue, and Cherry Pink Meteor.
