Vivo Y70s 5G with Samsung Exynos 880 SoC, 48-Megapixel Triple Camera Setup Launched: Price, Specs

Vivo has announced its latest smartphone in the Chinese market called the Vivo Y70s and it will be a mid-range offering from the company. Just before the official unveiling the phone had been spotted on China’s certification website TENNA which had revealed most of the specs of the phone. It is not clear if Vivo plans on bringing the phone to India or not but chances are slim. The Vivo Y70s is the latest addition to 5G phones in the country and it is powered by Samsung’s Exynos chipset.

Vivo Y70s: Price and availability

The Y70s has been priced starting at CNY 1,998 (about Rs 21,000) for the starting 6GB RAM + 128GB version. The 8GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 2,198 (about Rs 23,500). The phone is said to go on sale from an unspecified date in May.

In terms of dimensions, the Y70s happens to be 162 x 76 x 8.46mm. The device has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, a punch-hole selfie, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.72 percent. The phone is available in three colours which are Moom Shadow Black, Starlight Blue and Fog Mirror.

Under the hood is an 8nm Exynos 880 chipset which has a built-in 5G modem. It is octa-core SoC with a max clock speed of 2.0 GHz and the GPU alongside it is the Mali-G76 MP5. It has a 6GB and 8GB RAM option along with fixed 128GB storage which is not expandable using a microSD card.

In the camera department, the Y70s happens to have a 48MP main sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP depth sensor. On the front there is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. On the software side of things, the Y70s will be running on Android 10-based FunTouchOS. The entire setup is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with an 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, dual-SIM 4G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Type-C port.
