Vivo launched the Vivo Y72 5G handset back in July in the Indian market. The Vivo Y72 5G was the company’s first handset with 5G connectivity under the Y-series in India. The smartphone retails only in one storage-memory configuration in the country that is 8GB + 128GB. Now, the handset has received Rs. 1000 price cut, as per the latest report by Mahesh Telecom.
After the price cut, the Snapdragon 480 powered handset will now cost Rs. 19,990 for the 8GB + 128GB variant in India. Let us take a look at Vivo Y72 5G specifications and features.
Vivo Y72 5G: Specifications and Features
The Y72 5G flaunts a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 2408×1080 pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display features a waterdrop notch that makes room for the front selfie shooter.
The Y72 5G sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor that is built on an 8nm fabrication process. Snapdragon 480 comes coupled with an integrated Adreno 619 GPU and X51 5G modem. It also offers 4GB virtual RAM feature and boots Android 11 based FunTouch OS 11.1.
The Y72 5G is equipped with a dual-rear camera setup and a LED flash. The primary sensor on the device is a 48MP resolution sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. Accompanying it is a 2MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. It offers various photography features such as Portrait mode, Night mode, Panorama, Live Photo, Pro mode, Slow-Motion video recording, Time-Lapse video recording, and more.
The Y72 5G retails in two color variants – Prism Magic, and Slate Gray. There is also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack on the handset. In terms of connectivity, it offers a dual-sim, 4G, 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. It measures 164.15 × 75.35 × 8.40mm and weighs 185.5grams.
