Haier Expands Premium Lineup in India With ₹1,30,000 M3 Triple-Drum Washing Machine

Haier has launched its M3 Series washing machine in India at ₹1,30,000, introducing a three-drum design that can wash separate loads simultaneously. The machine combines one 10kg drum with two 1kg drums, allowing everyday laundry, baby clothes and delicate garments to be washed independently within a single appliance.

Announced at Haier's ‘Elevate with Haier' event, the M3 addresses a familiar limitation of a single-drum machine: separating clothes often means waiting for one cycle to finish before starting another. Haier calls it India's only triple-drum washing machine with AI Multi Wash.

Haier M3: Price, Capacity and Warranty

The Haier M3 is priced at ₹1,30,000 and is available through retail outlets across India and Haier's online store. It comes with a four-year comprehensive warranty and a 12-year motor warranty.

Its advertised 12kg capacity is the combined capacity of all three drums: 10kg + 1kg + 1kg. The largest individual load therefore goes into the 10kg drum, an important distinction for buyers comparing it with a conventional 12kg washing machine.

Three Drums for Loads That Need Separate Care

The main drum handles regular household laundry, while the two smaller drums are intended for items such as innerwear, baby clothes, sportswear and delicates. Each operates independently, so users can keep these categories separate without running consecutive cycles in the same drum.

The benefit is most apparent in homes that already divide laundry into several batches. A small load of baby clothes, for example, need not wait until the main family wash is finished. The smaller drums also provide dedicated space for garments that require different care.

Haier says the M3 retains a standard washing-machine footprint despite the additional drums. That positions it as an alternative to installing separate machines for specialised loads, although the 1kg capacity of each smaller drum will determine how useful they are for a particular household.

AI Wash, Automatic Dosing and Faster Programmes

The M3's AI Wash system recommends programmes based on the laundry load, while Smart Dose automatically dispenses detergent and softener. Haier's AI Smart Center coordinates water and power flow across the three drums and calculates detergent requirements using load and water-volume information.

Automatic dosing is a useful addition to a machine built around several separate loads, reducing the amount of manual measuring involved. A colour touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity allow users to manage and customise wash cycles through the app.

The machine also features Essence Wash, which pre-mixes detergent before applying it to fabrics. Haier claims the programme can complete a full load in 39 minutes, with up to 37% less washing time under its stated comparison. A separate Quick Clean programme is listed at 46 minutes.

Three Direct Motion Motors, dynamic balancing and AI vibration control are intended to keep the machine stable during operation. Actual noise, cleaning performance and resource consumption will need to be assessed with all three drums in use, since simultaneous washing is the M3's central selling point.

Haier Velox Geysers Start at ₹13,990

Haier also announced the Velox electric storage water heater in 15-litre and 25-litre capacities, priced at ₹13,990 and ₹14,990, respectively, for sale through leading retail outlets. The range carries a five-star energy-efficiency rating and includes a Titan-guard tank, Bacteria Proof System, pulse lighting and 11 safety features, including Haier's Shock Proof Technology. The company claims 33% faster heating and lists a 10-year warranty on the tank. With a ₹1,000 difference between capacities, the choice will depend mainly on household hot-water requirements and installation space.

A Premium for Separating Laundry, Not Just Capacity

The M3 gives Haier a distinct proposition in premium laundry: several independent washes within one appliance. Its value is tied to the way a household sorts clothes, rather than total capacity alone.

For families regularly running separate cycles for small loads, the three-drum arrangement could reduce waiting and simplify laundry schedules. Those who mainly wash one large mixed load will have less use for the extra drums. At ₹1,30,000, that difference in routine is likely to matter more to the buying decision than the AI branding.
