The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE smartphone has been officially launched in Europe, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet. The launch was already tipped for a while, and confirms the presence of the affordable 5G variant of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone experience, as well as an Android tablet from the company with flagship grade specifications. Both the products have been launched in Europe right now, and indications of an India launch weren’t given at the time of the global launch.
Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE: key specifications
Starting with the smartphone, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE features a 6.55-inch, full HD+ 90Hz AMOLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, with choices for 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage (the latter available only with 8GB RAM).
The smartphone features a 64MP triple rear camera setup, which features an 8MP ultra-wide and a 5MP telephoto and macro unit. To the front, it features a 20MP camera in a corner drill-hole slot. It has a side power button mounted fingerprint sensor (instead of an under display one), and offers a 4,250mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Xiaomi Pad 5: key specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC, along with 6GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It gets an 11-inch display with 16:10 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and TUV Rheinland certification as well. All of this is powered by an 8,720mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
Other key specs include a 13MP rear camera with 4K video recording, and an 8MP front camera with full HD video calling and conferencing support. The tablet is impressively only 6.85mm in thickness, and weighs jut over 500 grams. It has a USB-C port, and supports Dolby Atmos via stereo speakers.
Prices and availability
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is priced onward of EUR 369 (approx. Rs 32,000), and will be sold in Truffle Black, Bubblegum Blue, Peach Pink and Snowflake White colour options. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is priced onward of EUR 349 (approx. Rs 30,000), in Cosmic Grey and Pearl White colours. Both the devices are being introduced in multiple European markets only, for now.
