Xiaomi 13 series launch is imminent. The company has not confirmed the launch date at the time of writing this but the rumour mill’s details suggest that the launch could take place in November or December 2022. Xiaomi is expected to launch at least two phones in the lineup. These include the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The devices are likely to feature MediaTek and Qualcomm SoCs under the hood.
While the rumour mill has been working on leaking the specifications, a new report has revealed the design renders of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The latest leak comes from tipster OnLeaks, who has collaborated with Zoutons for the design renders of the phone. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 13 Pro design renders leaked online ahead of the launch.
Xiaomi 13 Pro Design Renders
The Xiaomi 13 Pro will get a new design compared to the outgoing model. The device will sit at the top of the lineup before the 13 Ultra is launched. Before Xiaomi confirms the launch, tipster OnLeaks uploaded the design renders of the phone. The images show that the camera module is receiving a major redesign. Compared to the 12 Pro, which has a vertically rectangular camera module design, the 13 Pro is more squarish. The upcoming Xiaomi flagship will continue to sport a triple-camera setup on the back. It will feature an LED flash inside the camera module as well. The images show that the camera module protrudes over the rear panel.
We can expect the 13 Pro to feature Leica-tuned cameras. The front of the phone sports a hole-punch cutout at the top of the display. The screen is also slightly curved on the sides to offer a more immersive viewing experience. The chin bezel looks slightly thin compared to the outgoing model.
The design renders also reveal that the power and volume buttons are on the right edge. The phone should launch with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Other details of the 13 Pro have leaked as well. The phone is said to feature a 50MP SonyIMX989 1-inch main camera sensor. The same sensor is found in the 12S Ultra and is likely to feature in the upcoming Vivo X90 series. In addition to the 50MP main camera, there will be a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the 13 Pro will feature a 32MP front camera sensor.
The 13 Pro is likely to feature a 6.7-inch E6 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. It will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood along with a 4800mAh battery. The device will also support 120W fast charging out of the box. We can also expect it to support 50W wireless charging.
The device will launch in China with 8GB and 12GB of RAM along with up to 256GB of internal storage at least. There could be a 512GB storage option as well. Xiaomi could launch the 13 Pro in India next year. The company launched the 12 Pro as its most premium smartphone offering for the Indian market. The 13 Pro could debut by March 2023. We will share the official details as and when available.
