Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of the 13 Ultra globally. The company has confirmed that it will launch its top-of-the-line smartphone in China and global markets on April 18. At the time of writing this, Xiaomi has not confirmed whether its new Ultra smartphone is debuting in India. The company, meanwhile, has been dropping new teasers, revealing some key features of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship. The latest teaser reveals the design of the 13 Ultra.

Xiaomi has already confirmed the camera setup details of the device. The flagship smartphone will come with Leica-tuned cameras on the back. Let’s take a look at the Xiaomi 13 Ultra design, specifications and other details revealed so far.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra Will Launch in New Green, White Colours

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will launch in China on April 18. Ahead of the launch, the company has officially revealed the phone’s design. The teaser image shows the rear panel of the 13 Ultra sporting an olive green colour. The rear panel has a leather-like finish on the back, similar to what we had seen in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The device, as of now, is teased to launch in two colour options — Green and White. Xiaomi revealed that the device’s rear panel has been designed to offer the texture and in-hand feel of a Leica camera.

The phone’s rear panel area that sits below the camera module area is slightly raised compared to the lower part of the body. This could be due to the larger sensors packed under the hood.

There is a quad-camera setup on the back. The massive circular camera module has the Leica branding right in the centre. Xiaomi also revealed that the phone has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. In addition to this, the company claimed that the metal frame is 4.4 times resistant to bending.

The company recently revealed that the 13 Ultra will offer support for a variable aperture. It will be the first smartphone worldwide to offer a 1-inch camera sensor with a variable aperture. The 13 Ultra’s primary camera’s aperture can be adjusted to f/1.9 and f/4.0 based on the user’s preferences. The camera setup is also confirmed to feature three Sony IMX858 sensors. There will be lenses for ultra-wide shooting and optical telephoto zoom at 3x and 5x, respectively. As per rumours, all four camera sensors will have a 50MP resolution.

The 13 Ultra is said to pack a beefy 5000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. It will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The device is also tipped to pack up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

On the front, the 13 Ultra is tipped to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with curved edges and a 2K resolution. The screen will have a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. There will be support for a 120Hz refresh rate as well. Lastly, the phone will boot Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
