Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster on the Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo, recently tipped the specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone, which is slated to launch in 2024. The vanilla Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones were tipped to launch by November in China. The upcoming smartphones are expected to debut after the launch of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The tipster previously divulged that Xiaomi will launch the vanilla 14 and 14 Pro smartphones before the Double Eleven sales event in China. We also spotted the vanilla smartphone in China’s 3C certification. The 3C certification reveals that the vanilla device will have 90W fast charging support. Digital Chat Station has shared more specifications about the upcoming 14 Pro smartphone before its debut.
Xiaomi 14 Pro Expected Specifications
The tipster reveals that the upcoming device will have an AMOLED panel with 2K resolution. The display will have thin bezels around the display and will feature high PWM dimming to protect the eyes. The tipster adds that Xiaomi will equip the smartphone with the highest nits of brightness. Digital Chat Station reveals that the device will feature a 50MP primary sensor with a sensor size of 1/1.28-inch.
The well-known tipster adds that Xiaomi will equip the primary sensor with support for variable aperture. The upcoming device is tipped to equip the device with apertures ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, similar to the recently debuted Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone. Xiaomi equipped a variable aperture sensor initially with the 13 Ultra smartphone.
Including variable aperture will help the users adjust the light entered into the camera sensor. The tipster reiterates the previous leak that the device will be backed by a 4860mAh battery. The smartphone will support 120Hz wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging tech. Xiaomi will equip the device with an X-axis motor for improved haptics.
The Chinese smartphone giant will likely ship the device with a telemacro sensor instead of the initially rumoured periscope lens. The other camera in triple camera setup would be an ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. Xiaomi is tipped to equip a Sony IMX 9xx sensor for the primary and a Sony IMX 989 sensor for the telemacro sensor.
The telemacro sensor is said to be equipped with 5x optical zoom support. Previous report reveals that Xiaomi will equip the device with Titanium alloy for the frames. The upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro is also tipped to offer Satellite connectivity similar to iPhones. Qualcomm will equip its forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for the same.
