Xiaomi could discontinue the Mi 11 Lite soon in India. The Xiaomi smartphone launched in June 2021 features a Snapdragon 732G SoC and a 64MP triple-camera setup. The USP of the Mi 11 Lite 4G is its thin and lightweight design. Xiaomi launched the 5G variant of the device late last year with a Snapdragon 778G SoC. It is now being rumoured that the Mi 11 Lite could discontinue soon to make way for the new Xiaomi 12 Lite.
Xiaomi 12 Lite is currently available for purchase in select markets worldwide. The company launched its new thin and lightweight smartphone with multiple upgrades, including a 108MP triple-camera setup and a smoother 120Hz refresh rate display.
Tipster Paras Guglani claims that the Xiaomi 12 Lite will launch in India in the coming months. The tipster did not reveal the launch timeline of the Xiaomi smartphone. He further added that the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G will continue to be available in India even after the company discontinues the 4G model.
Xiaomi has not confirmed any details regarding the launch of the 12 Lite 5G in India. The Mi 11 Lite 4G and the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G continue to be available for purchase on the official website at the time of writing this.
Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G Specifications
The new Xiaomi Lite smartphone sports a glass back and features a 4300 mAh battery. It weighs about 173 grams, which is heavier than the outgoing model’s 159 grams weight. It measures 159.30mm x 73.70mm x 7.29mm.
The phone sports a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate support along with 950 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 778G SoC. The device comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The 12 Lite 5G supports 67W fast charging out of the box. It has a triple-camera setup on the back. The phone features a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera. The 12 Lite 5G runs Android 12 out of the box and has a layer of MIUI 13 on top.
