We heard about Mi 10i for the first time towards the end of last month when the device appeared on Google Play supported devices. The listing revealed the device codename as gauguinpro, confirming that it’s a Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G rebrand that was recently launched in China. The device then soon appeared on Geekbench with 8GB RAM hinting towards imminent launch. The leaked specifications of the smartphone also matched with the Mi 10T Lite that launched globally, and could very well be a rebranded version of that smartphone.
Now, Xiaomi India has shared a teaser on social media with a video and a hashtag #ThePerfect10. The teaser video shows a quad-rear camera set up inside a circular module sandwiched between 1 and 8. All this hints towards a possible Mi 10i launch in the country. Going by the teaser, it looks like the smartphone could launch in India on 5th January, which is exactly 14 days from today.
