Asus has managed to target different audiences with its range of smartphones. The ROG series is meant for mobile gaming enthusiasts, while its Z-series caters to conventional smartphone users. We have seen some great products from the brand in the Z-series and the Asus 9Z 5G is yet another addition. The latest smartphone from Asus comes loaded with the flagship octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The phone offers a 6.21-inch Super AMOLED display, which is quite compact to hold in hand. Moreover, the phone is loaded with a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support. In terms of cameras, the company has added a triple-camera setup at the rear. While on the front, the phone comes with a 12MP selfie camera. Design and Display
The Asus 9Z brings a premium design language to the table with a bezel-less display and compact form factor. The phone is loaded with a 6.21-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen also comes with a screen resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and 425ppi pixel density.
Performance and Storage
In terms of performance, the Asus 9Z 5G is powered by the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that is clocked at up to 3.0GHz. The octa-core chipset is made using a 4nm fabrication process and comes with a dedicated Adreno 730 GPU to handle graphics-intensive tasks. In terms of storage, the Asus 9Z 5G packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Sadly, there is no option to expand the storage using a micoSD card slot. Moreover, the phone runs on the latest version of the Android 12 operating system with the company’s custom UI on top of it.
Camera and Security
For the camera department, Asus has added triple rear cameras at the rear panel. The phone comes with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. Lastly, the phone also features a 5MP tertiary lens. On the front, the phone comes equipped with a 12MP shooter with an f/2.5 aperture. For security, the company has added an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
Battery and Connectivity
In terms of battery, the Asus 9Z 5G is juiced up by a 4,500mAh battery. The phone also supports 67W fast charging support via a USB Type-C port. For connectivity, the phone offers 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual-SIM support, GPS with GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port.
