Design and Display
The watered-down version of the Asus ZenFone 8 Mini sports a 5.9-inches Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) OLED screen. The display has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and offers an immersive viewing experience. The bezel-less display has a pixel density of 446ppi. The volume rocker and the power button are present on the right side of the phone.
Camera and Security
On the optical front, the rear camera module packs a triple camera setup that comprises a 64MP primary camera, a 12MP secondary camera and an 8MP camera. Upfront, the smartphone features dual selfie cameras (64MP+12MP) with a LED flash. The smartphone has an on-screen fingerprint sensor for securely unlocking it.
Storage and Performance
The Asus ZenFone 8 Mini comes with 128GB of non-expandable memory. For performance, the smartphone is powered by the high-end SoC, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, coupled with 8GB of RAM. The graphics of the phone are handled by the Adreno 660 GPU.
Battery and Connectivity
For power backup, the Zenfone 8 mini is provided with a 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery. It also supports fast-charging, and hence you can quickly refill it after battery drain. The various connectivity options of the smartphone include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS with A-GPS, mass storage device, USB charging. The phone also has a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting wired earphones.

ASUS is all set to launch the Zenfone 8 series on May 12th globally. This upcoming series is supposed to include three handsets - the ASUS Zenfone 8 Mini, Zenfone 8 Pro, and the Zenfone 8 Flip. While these devices are set to launch on May 12th globally, ASUS won't be launching the Zenfone 8 series on May 12th in India. The company has confirmed that it has plans to launch the Zenfone 8 series in India, but considering that the country is battling the second COVID-19 wave, it has planned to defer the launch of the same. This information comes from ASUS Business Head Dinesh Sharma who has mentioned in his tweet that unless the current COVID situation in India improves, ASUS won't be launching the Zenfone 8 lineup.
Asus Zenfone 8 duo will make a global debut on May 12th.
