Coolpad Cool 5

The Coolpad Cool 5 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset which is an entry-level SoC based on a 12nm manufacturing process. This chipset houses an octa-core processor with eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz. For graphics, the phone gets to use the PowerVR GE8320 GPU that clocks up to 650 MHz. The phone comes in a single version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and supports memory expansion using microSD cards. The display on the Coolpad Cool 5 is a standard IPS LCD panel that measures 6.22-inches across. This panel has a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels in the tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The bezels on the phone are not very thin and it ends up with a screen to body ratio of 80.9 percent. With a PPI density 270, the sharpness of the panel is on par with the rest of the competition hs to offer in its segment.

The CoolPad Cool 5 gets a dual-camera setup at the rear. The primary rear-facing camera uses a 13-megapixel sensor and supports autofocus while the secondary camera on the phone is a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the phone gets a 16-megapixel fixed-focus camera for selfies and video calls. The Cool 5 boasts of a large 4,000 mAh battery and atypical of smartphones under INR 8K, it supports fast charging. It also gets support for USB Type-C cables making it one of the few affordable handsets to feature USB-C connectivity. The phone is offered in Gradient Blue and Midnight Blue color options in India.
