The Moto E8 features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display that has 720x1600 pixels HD+ resolution. The larger 20:9 display offers a pixel density of 271 PPI. The display houses the front camera built under the notch at the top. The power button and the volume rocker are located on the right side of the phone. For the security purpose, this phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor support and a face unlock feature that works through the selfie camera. On the software front the Moto E8 runs Android 11 out of the box.

The Moto E8 comes powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 chipset, which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable using the dedicated card slot. For imaging purpose, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup that has a 13MP primary sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. While on the front, the phone has a 5MP camera for taking selfies and making video calls.
