Vivo added the Y15 budget smartphone in order to set its foot under Rs 10,000 phones available in India. The dual-SIM Y15 was yet another repackaged model with great aspirations by its maker to battle in the competitive space.

Vivo Y15 offers a 4.5-inch display sporting 854 480 pixel resolution which was standard among many devices. It offers 218PPI pixel density to deliver crisp images and is protected with scratch resistant glass. Powered with a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 mobile chipset, this packs only 512MB of RAM which puts it behind several devices already offering 1GB of RAM.

Gaming and graphics intensive apps are backed by the dual-core Mali-400 MP2 GPU. By default, theres only 4GB built-in storage and out of which mostly 1.5GB is available to the user.

Front facing 2MP camera will let you enjoy video calls while the rear-placed 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash shall feed your imaging needs. The camera is capable enough of capturing up to 1080p HD video but don t expect great quality.

In this dual-SIM handset, one of the slots supports 3G network enabled SIM card while the other supports 2G network one. The W-Fi support promises faster mobile web along with Wi-Fi Direct as an alternative for faster transfers compared to the Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. There is an FM Radio for music and news lovers while the GPS with A-GPS aids in quicker location mapping on the maps.

Vivo has included a 1900 mAh battery promising 8 hours of talk time on 3G network and standby time of 410 hours.
