OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of its next-generation tablet, the OnePlus Pad 4, in India. The device is set to debut on April 30 and will serve as the company's flagship tablet for 2026. It arrives as the successor to last year's OnePlus Pad 3, which launched in September, marking a noticeably earlier release cycle this time around.
The company has also shared the first official look at the tablet, revealing key design elements ahead of the launch.
OnePlus Pad 4 Expected Specifications
The teaser image shows the OnePlus Pad 4 in a dark brown finish, with a pill-shaped rear camera module positioned at the top-left corner. The tablet appears slim and features a large display, suggesting a focus on both portability and immersive viewing.
Interestingly, the design closely resembles the upcoming OPPO Pad 5 Pro, which is scheduled to launch in China on April 21. The camera layout, three-pin connector placement, and even the colour option align with OPPO's design, indicating that the OnePlus Pad 4 may be a rebranded version of that device.
This approach is not unusual, as OnePlus and OPPO often share hardware platforms while tailoring products for different markets.
The OnePlus Pad 4 is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, positioning it firmly in the flagship category. According to OnePlus, the tablet is capable of achieving an AnTuTu score of over 4.1 million, indicating top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and productivity.
The device will be available with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, ensuring sufficient capacity for demanding applications and media storage.
On the front, the tablet features a large 13.2-inch display with a 3.4K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. This combination is expected to deliver smooth visuals and high clarity, making the device suitable for streaming, creative work, and gaming.
The OnePlus Pad 4 is also equipped with a 13,380mAh battery, which is significantly larger than its predecessor. It supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, allowing users to quickly recharge the device. With this capacity, the tablet is expected to offer all-day battery life under typical usage.
OnePlus has also confirmed that the tablet will support new accessories, including the OnePlus Stylo Pro for writing and sketching, as well as a smart keyboard. These additions suggest that the company is positioning the Pad 4 as a productivity-focused device alongside its entertainment capabilities.
OnePlus Pad 4: Should you buy it?
Compared to the OnePlus Pad 3, the new model brings a faster processor and a larger battery, while retaining a similar overall design and feature set. The use of an LCD panel, however, may place it slightly behind some premium competitors that offer OLED displays.
That said, OnePlus is expected to continue its strategy of offering flagship-level performance at a relatively competitive price point. This could make the Pad 4 an attractive option for users looking for a high-performance Android tablet without paying top-tier flagship prices.
Final details, including pricing and availability, will be announced at the official launch on April 30.
