Design and Specifications
The Lava Iris 504Q, a new mid-range smartphone from Lava features a 5-inch HD TFT LCD capacitive touch screen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device has three capacitive touch buttons at the bottom and has proximity sensors at the top. It is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 prcoessor that is based on ARM v7 architecture. The device ships with Android v4.2 onboard with a few tweaks of Lava. Lava Iris 504Q has a modern graphic chipset accompanied by 1 GB of RAM that makes the phone better for gaming. The device looks simple and delicate but it is made up of touch plastic material.
Camera and Multimedia
The phone sports an impressive 8 MP main camera with LED flash that can take HD videos and pictures. The camera has modern filtering features that enhance the photos you've taken. The device also features a secondary camera that is of 2 MP. Secondary camera is good enough to make video calls and capture self-potraits but it cannot record HD videos. Iris 504Q supports various audio and video formats such as MP3, eAAC+, WMA, WAV, MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV. The device certainly will have an FM Radio too.
Connectivity and Features
Lava Iris 504Q has all the connectivity features we see in other smartphones the same price range. The phone has 2G and 3G networks support and it also has Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). The phone can be used as Wi-Fi hotspot as well. It has Bluetooth v4.0 for transferring data and streaming media across other Bluetooth enabled devices. The phone features Google service applications such as YouTube, Gmail, Google+ and many more.

The Lava Iris 504Q packs a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery that offers an impressive battery backup and talk time. The phone has 4 GB of internal storage that can be extended later on via micro SD card slot.
