Design and Specifications
XOLO Q1000S is the successor to the XOLO Q1000 smartphone and will go against the likes of Micromax's Canvas 4, which has similar features. It comes with a dazzling 5-inch IPS LCD HD touch screen display with MediaTek's MT6589T 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM under the hood. Also included is PowerVR SGX544 GPU for smoother graphics. This mobile runs on relatively newer Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system.
Camera and Multimedia
The smartphone has a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera with full HD video recording. The rear camera comes with Sony's BSI 2 sensor with autofocus and LED flash, very similar to the Micromax Canvas 4. Other camera features include scene modes, HDR and 3D shooting modes. Xolo included a 5 MP front camera which enables users in shooting self-portraits or high quality video calling. The phone will be compatible with various multimedia file formats such as MP3, AAC, WAV, WMA, etc.
Connectivity and Features
The phone comes with all the necessary connectivity features other than NFC, although considering that NFC currently does not have any viable use in India yet, it might be a while before manufacturers decide to include it in. It has 42.2 Mbps HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, A-GPS and a Micro USB 2.0 port.
Battery and Storage
Xolo Q1000s comes with a huge 2500 mAH battery which should last a day of normal use. The phone has 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 64 GB through a Micro SD card slot.
