Google started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat last night, and Nexus devices would be the first to receive them. However, not all Nexus devices would receive the Nougat update at once. As always, the staged updated would roll out to few devices at a time, so it might be a while before you receive that sweet software update notification even if you own a compatible Nexus device. If you’re as impatient about receive software updates on your devices as we are, there’s a way to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update right now.

Google has started Android Beta Program, which allows users to sign up to receive pre-release, beta versions of Android updates. Devices that are enrolled in the Android Beta Program will receive OTA (over the air) updates to the latest beta version of Android (which currently happens to be Android 7.0 Nougat). All you need to do is click here to sign up and enrol your Nexus device for Android Beta Program, and you’ll start receiving Android 7.0 update immediately. The update should be anywhere around 1.1GB in file size.
