After Google Pixel handsets, it is now time for Nokia handsets to receive the latest Android P Developer Preview. Nokia’s parent company HMD Global has made the new update available over the air (OTA) as well, and it takes just a few clicks online to get the new developer preview Beta 3 (V3.110).

Nokia 7 Plus: Android P Update

The latest Android P Beta 3 can be downloaded by registering on the Nokia Developer page, which requires you to have a Nokia, Google or Facebook account. You will also need to enter your phone’s IMEI number, network operator name and location details.

Once validated, you can back up your data and select the Push OTA Update option on the developer page, and soon enough you will have the new Android P Beta on your Nokia 7 Plus.

Nokia 7 Plus: Android P Rollback

The new Android P Beta 3 seems to be working well except for the regular app crashes. Whenever you need to go back to Android Oreo, you can back up your data and download the Android Oreo OS. This comes as a major relief for developers, as the developer preview updates earlier did not provide for any rollback option. Now, for the first time, Android P developer preview versions can be downloaded, used and discarded, without any wait for the final update. Since developer beta versions crash often, it helps that the user gets rollback option.

The Android P Developer Preview 4 is 1.4GB in size and comes with the latest July security patch.
