Vivo X70 series global launch
Vivo has postponed the X70 series global launch date. The flagship phones from Vivo will now launch on September 13. The flagship phones were previously set to get a global unveiling on September 10, which is a day after the China launch event.
The reason behind the global event postponing remains unknown. Vivo has, however, confirmed that that X70 Pro will launch in two colours globally. It will come in Cosmic Black and Aurora Dawn colours. It will have a Zeiss-tuned quad-camera setup on the back with Gimbal-like stabilisation. A recent China Telecom listing revealed that the phone will have a 50MP + 12MP + 12MP + 8MP camera sensor setup. For selfies, the device will have a 32MP front camera.
Some other details of the device were leaked too. It will have a 6.56-inch curved AMOLED Full HD+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory. It will have a 4,380 mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.
Details of the vanilla X70 have leaked as well. It will have a 6.56-inch flat display and come with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The phone will have a triple-camera array on the back. You can click here to check the design renders of X70 leaked by MySmartPrice.
The top-end X70 Pro Plus will also feature a quad-camera setup on the back. Next to the camera module is a large block. The phone will have a taller 6.7-inch curved display. It is likely to feature a Snapdragon 888+ SoC under the hood. Vivo has already confirmed that the X70 series will feature its custom V1 chip.
The devices are expected to launch in September or October 2021 in India. The X70 Pro is expected to launch at around Rs 50,000 in India, whereas the Pro+ model will come at around Rs 70,000. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Vivo flagship devices? Do let us know in the comments below.
