The 2021 iPad is a predecessor to the iPad 10th-generation, which was launched a few months ago for a whopping Rs 44,900 price tag. The 2021 iPad, in comparison, was launched at a much lower price. And during the ongoing Amazon Great Republic Day Sale, the price of the budget iPad is lower than ever.

Apple’s 2021 iPad is available for Rs 25,400 during the Amazon sale. The Great Republic Day Sale will go on till January 20. Consumers who wish to get a new iPad can consider getting the 2021 variant. The offer price is inclusive of the 10 per cent SBI card offer. Those without an SBI card can still get the iPad 9th-generation for Rs 27,900. It is Rs 4,000 lower than the current official price tag for the base 64GB model. Unfortunately, the 256GB variant continues to retail for Rs 44,900 and has not received any discount yet. The tablet can be bought in two colours — Silver and Space Grey.

Compared to the 10-generation model, the 2021 iPad has a slightly smaller display, Touch ID on the Home Button and a different performance unit. However, the iPad 10th-generation is available for Rs 44,900 for the base 64GB model. For 25,400, the 9th-generation model offers excellent value for your money, especially if you want an affordable iPad without breaking the bank.

iPad 9th-generation for Rs 25,400 is a Good Deal

The iPad 9th-generation is almost a couple of years old now. However, for the price, the tablet offers excellent value for money. It has an A13 Bionic SoC under the hood. The chipset, which is found in the iPhone 11 as well, is still capable enough for most use cases.

Users who want an iPad for multimedia consumption can also consider the iPad 2021 model as it comes with a 10.2-inch display. The Retina display offers True Tone support and has fairly thick bezels at the top and bottom. The bottom bezel makes room for the Home Button, which houses the Touch ID sensor. The 2021 iPad is the last iPad to come with a Home Button.

The device has an 8MP front camera, whereas the rear panel houses a 12MP main camera. The iPad does not have an LED flash. Apple claims that the tablet offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. There is support for 20W charging out of the box. It comes with a Lighting Port and support for Apple Pencil (1st-generation). There are two speakers around the Lightning Port. The iPad boots iOS 14 out of the box but gets the latest iPadOS 16 via an OTA update.
