Earlier this year, Amazon introduced an affordable tier of its Prime membership named Amazon Prime Lite. This new plan offered similar delivery benefits along with access to Prime Video and early lightning deals. Amazon has now reduced the cost of its Prime Lite Membership from Rs 999 to Rs 799 per year.
The company has also kept the major benefits of this plan unchanged. Let’s have a look at Amazon’s most affordable tier of Prime Lite as compared to the regular Prime membership.
Amazon Prime Lite Now Available at Rs 799 in India
Customers can now redeem Amazon Prime Lite membership for just Rs 799. The plan will be valid for one year. Delivery benefits in this tier include unlimited same-day delivery, one-day delivery, two-day delivery, and scheduled delivery.
Users with this plan can also avail of no-rush delivery to get a cashback of Rs 25 on their order. There are no minimum order value requirements to claim free delivery, just like the regular Prime membership.
Both tiers of the Prime membership include access to No-Cost EMI and other discounts on all eligible products on Amazon. This also includes free screen replacement in 6 months on devices, under Amazon’s partnership with Acko.
Customers should keep in mind that the Amazon Prime Lite offers morning delivery at Rs 175, whereas the normal Prime membership offers the same benefit for just Rs 50.
Amazon Prime Lite also includes limited access to Prime Video. However, the resolution is capped at 720p in this plan, and users can only access Prime Video content on mobile devices.
Prime Lite serves ads in Live sports and TV shows, as compared to the ad-free experience on the normal Prime membership. Prime Music and Prime Reading are NOT included in this tier.
Hence, the major differences between Amazon Prime Lite and regular Prime are in the Prime Video section. If your priority is to get maximum delivery benefits from Amazon, then the new discounted Amazon Prime Lite membership at Rs 799 per year will be a good choice for you.
Amazon has kept the price of its normal Price Membership unchanged. It is available in three tenures: Rs 299 for 1 month, Rs 499 for 3 months, and Rs 1499 for 1 year.
