Qubo has announced the launch of two new dashcams in India, the Dashcam 4G Live and the Dashcam Trio, strengthening its position in a category it has steadily helped popularise over the last few years. The launch marks Qubo's entry into connected dashcams and three-channel recording, as the brand looks to push the segment beyond basic incident capture.
Dashcams have moved from being niche accessories to practical safety tools for Indian drivers, driven by rising traffic density, frequent disputes, digital challans, and insurance-related claims. With most cars sold in India still not offering factory-installed dashcams, the aftermarket continues to play a critical role, creating room for brands like Qubo to expand both capability and awareness.
With these two launches, Qubo is targeting users who want either real-time connectivity or wider in-car coverage, depending on how their vehicles are used day to day.
Dashcam 4G Live: Turning the Dashcam into a Connected Safety Device
The Dashcam 4G Live is Qubo's most advanced dashcam to date and its first with built-in 4G connectivity. The device allows users to remotely access a live camera feed, track the vehicle's real-time location, communicate using two-way talk, and receive instant alerts for events such as overspeeding, harsh braking, jolts, or geofence entry and exit.
These connected features are powered through Qubo CloudPlay, the company's subscription-based cloud service, which also stores key event footage for a limited duration. The use case is especially relevant in Indian households where cars are often shared between family members, driven by chauffeurs, or left at service centres, making remote visibility a practical safety layer rather than a novelty.
On the hardware side, the Dashcam 4G Live records in 2K resolution using a 4MP sensor with a 140-degree field of view. It also includes NightPulse low-light vision, a collision-detection G-sensor, built-in GPS, WiFi, microphone support, and expandable storage up to 1TB. A supercapacitor-based power system is used instead of a battery to ensure reliable operation across extreme temperature conditions.
Dashcam Trio: Full Coverage Inside and Outside the Car
The Dashcam Trio takes a more coverage-focused approach. It features a three-camera setup that simultaneously records footage from the front, rear, and inside the cabin. While front and rear recording is now common in premium dashcams, the addition of an in-cabin camera opens up newer use cases.
In-cabin recording can help monitor driver behaviour, provide clarity in disputed challans or allegations, document in-car thefts, and record incidents during shared or chauffeur-driven usage. The cabin camera also includes night vision support for low-light conditions.
The Trio records 2K video from the front camera and 1080p footage from both the rear and cabin cameras. It features a built-in 3.2-inch IPS display for live viewing and quick playback, along with NightPulse vision, a collision-detection G-sensor, GPS, WiFi, and expandable storage up to 1TB.
Unlike the Dashcam 4G Live, the Trio does not rely on cloud connectivity. Footage can be accessed through the Qubo Pro app, directly from the SD card, or by connecting the dashcam to a laptop using a Type-C cable, making it suitable for users who prefer local access without ongoing subscriptions.
Pricing and Availability
The Qubo Dashcam 4G Live is priced at Rs 15,990, while the Dashcam Trio is priced at Rs 14,990. Both models sit in the premium segment of the dashcam market and are available across major online platforms, Qubo's own website, and offline retail partners.
Should You Buy?
Qubo's latest launches clearly address two different kinds of buyers. The Dashcam 4G Live is best suited for users who want real-time oversight of their vehicle, especially in shared or chauffeur-driven scenarios. The connected features add genuine value, but buyers should factor in the long-term relevance and cost of the cloud subscription before committing.
The Dashcam Trio, on the other hand, is a more straightforward recommendation for users who want comprehensive evidence and wider coverage without recurring fees. Its three-camera setup makes it particularly appealing for urban drivers dealing with frequent disputes or those who want visibility inside the car as well as on the road.
If you are buying your first dashcam, this launch highlights a key decision point: whether you prioritise constant connectivity or full-angle recording. Qubo now offers a clear option on both fronts, reinforcing its position as one of the more mature players in India's fast-evolving dashcam category.
