Livpure Launches Allura Premia Ultra Water Purifier With ClearDrop Technology

Livpure has expanded its water purifier portfolio in India with the launch of the Allura Premia Ultra. The company says its latest purifier is designed to remove emerging contaminants such as microplastics, pesticides, PFAS and uranium, alongside more conventional impurities found in household water supplies.

The Allura Premia Ultra is powered by Livpure's proprietary ClearDrop Technology and comes with a claimed 2.5-year maintenance-free proposition. Livpure has not yet announced the purifier's price, detailed filter configuration or availability across retail channels.

ClearDrop Technology Targets Emerging Water Contaminants

Water purifiers in India have traditionally been marketed around their ability to reduce total dissolved solids, sediment, chlorine, bacteria and viruses. Livpure is positioning the Allura Premia Ultra around a broader set of contaminants that may not be visible or commonly tracked by consumers.

According to the company, ClearDrop Technology can filter up to 98% of microplastics and reduce uranium levels by more than 97%. Livpure also claims that the technology can bring pesticide and PFAS levels down to near-zero levels.

These performance claims are based on testing conducted by a NABL-accredited laboratory. However, Livpure has not disclosed the specific testing conditions, the composition of the source water or the replacement cost of the purification system.

PFAS, commonly referred to as "forever chemicals", are a group of synthetic chemicals known for their persistence in the environment. By highlighting PFAS, microplastics and uranium, Livpure is attempting to move the water purifier conversation beyond TDS levels and microbial purification alone.

Rakesh Kaul, Managing Director and CEO of Livpure, said growing awareness of dissolved solids, heavy metals, pesticides and emerging contaminants is increasing the need for more advanced purification technologies.

Livpure Is Betting on Longer Maintenance Cycles

The other major claim attached to the Allura Premia Ultra is its 2.5-year maintenance-free proposition. Livpure has previously introduced a wider range of maintenance-free water purifiers and is now extending the same positioning to a more premium model.

Filter replacements and annual maintenance costs are among the largest recurring expenses associated with water purifiers. A longer service interval could therefore reduce ownership hassles, provided the claim applies under typical household usage and varying water conditions.

The company has not clarified whether the 2.5-year period covers all filters and membranes, whether it is linked to a fixed purification capacity or whether service charges may apply during this period. These details will be important when the purifier goes on sale.

Livpure Looks Beyond the Traditional RO Pitch

The Allura Premia Ultra also reflects a broader shift in the water purifier category. Brands are increasingly differentiating their products through longer filter life, water-saving systems, mineral retention and protection against contaminants that extend beyond high TDS and bacteria.

Livpure's strategy appears to centre on combining advanced contaminant-removal claims with lower maintenance requirements. That could help the company distinguish the Allura Premia Ultra in a market where many products continue to rely on similar RO, UV and UF combinations.

The purifier's eventual value, however, will depend on its price, purification stages, storage capacity, water recovery rate and annual ownership cost. Livpure will need to disclose these specifications before buyers can meaningfully compare the Allura Premia Ultra with similarly positioned models from Kent, Aquaguard, AO Smith and Urban Company.
